Happy Mother's Day! - Poem #39

Happy Mother's Day!  My apologies for the late posts, but our satellite has not liked these wind storms one bit.

This is a picture of Sandy and the eight three-week-old kittens who were left in a ditch on our road two years ago.  While only four of the babies were Sandy's, she nursed all eight until they were weaned and ready to move to new homes.  This is why she is the featured animal mother of today's post.  We still have two of these cats, but Sandy has retired to a lovely home in the city of Buffalo.  This lucky mama is now named Magda, after Magda Gabor.

On this Mother's Day, I feel so lucky to have a family who teaches me, loves me, and fills my heart with joy each day.
